Sulthanul Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al Haqqani is the 40th Mursyid in the Golden Chain of the Naqshbandi Haqqani Sufi Way. He was born in Larnaka, Cyprus on the 22nd of April 1922. His lineage from his father's side traces its roots to Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani, founder of the Qadiri Order. His lineage from his mother goes back to Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi, a famous sufi who is a descendant of Hasan Husayn the grandchildren of the Prophet SAW, and also the founder of the Mevlevi Sufi Order.

He has a PhD degree in chemical engineering from the University of Istambul and he was a genius among his colleagues.. However, he feels no attraction to the glamour of scientific degree. His heart is always intensively drawn to the light and love of his Lord. In 1940 he left all his desires for this world and with great love started on his journey looking for a spiritual guidance who will lead him to the real Love. The One Love. The true Love of the Lord, Allah Azza wa Jalla. As one thirsting for the Divine Love, there is no hardship or suffrings in a journey to meet the Beloved. Like Majnun who was drunk and completely overwhelmed with the beauty of the love of Layla.. Walking, running, falling down even dragged along a difficult journey is a beautiful and sweet experiene. The deep yearning that tears open the heart will cause the lover to get up and run to his Beloved with happy laughter full of joy.

In 1945, in a small town called Hayy al-Maidan, Damaskus, he finally arrived at his destination. In this town lived Sulthanul Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah Faiz Ad-Daghestani, his Beloved who he embraces all the time in his heart along the journey.The meeting with his Guidance who is also his spiritual mentor lasted only one night. Because he was immediately ordered to return back to Cyprus. It was the most devastating moment for him because he felt such an intense love in his heart for Shaykh Faiz and he wanted to stay. But there is no refusal in love. So he returned to Cyprus bringing with him a lot of happiness in his heart. He carries out all the orders of his Shaykh with sincere devotion. Because he realizes that no matter how far they are apart, the presence has no separation in it, their hearts are always together and full of happiness. Later on with the order of Shaykh Faiz, Sulthanul Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil Al Haqqani made a lot of journeys to spread the teachings of Love and beautiful stories on Divine Love from village to village, cities to cities, from one province to another provence eventually to all big and small countries in the five continents.

He is currently the world leader of the Naqshbandi Haqqani Sufi Order and the most influential Sufi Mursyid who holds the love and respect of millions around the world. Known as a holy person or Awliya Allah with two wings of knowledge : Knowledge of the World and Spiritual Knowledge. His teachings on the Path of Love has created great Sufi Centers in Europe and America.
